Detestable idol in Egypt

I felt sudden stunt when I first saw bull in the Egyptian Museum. This reminds me the scripture says concern all kinds of idols.

  • It was this very detestable thing that the Egyptian bull worship in which the children of Israel saw in the days they were in Egypt.
  • It was that which they made a replica of the golden calf at the foot of Mount Sinai.
  • It was that was the "golden calf built at the Tel Dan where the split of Northern and southern kingdom of Israel.
It now on display in Egyptian Museum, next time visit the Museum.

The description of the Above the bull two horns is sun-disc predict to be sun-god worship and below the head the bull is the Pharoah, then at the bowls where the cow breast is the pharoah sucking cow milk. The height of the head about five feet 5.8 tall. I am 5.8 tall.

I would caution those who travel be careful not to buy graven image stuff back home.

Dvarim 7:26

Neither shalt thou bring a detestable thing (toevah, abomination) into thine house

Best to read the entire chapter on Devarim 7

Shemot 20:23 Ye shall not make with Me gods of kesef (silver), neither shall ye make unto you gods of zahav. (gold)

do not make any graven image and say this is Elohim (Hashem); do not make graven images as a representation of Hashem.

Also we as believer do not make statues in human form, crosses, paintings and say this is Yeshua. Check to see if your congregation has any statues, any graven images of animals, birds, fish, crosses etc that is idolatry

Warning of idols:

do not make idols from any material with your works of your hand which you already have, - example given like gold silver, or stone cutting, or wood etc.

do not gain access idols - do not acquire them, do have them,

This is the gateway or foothold to idolatry

To bow down to them and to serve them
is an act of idolatry manifested. meaning to submitted idols, to give glory to idols instead of Elohim.

To serve them means you have put your trust on them instead of YHWH Elohim

Idolatry in spiritual realm is any thing that puts between you and Elohim, any thing you see more important Almighty. Any thing that you have put your trust on instead of dependent on YHWH Elohim. Example your ambition, finances, depending on man, works of flesh etc.

Beware of inclination toward Idolatry
Dvarim 4:15-19

Be shomer over yourselves, therefore; for ye saw no manner of temunah on the yom that YHWH spoke unto you in Chorev out of the midst of the eish;

Lest ye corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven image, the similitude of any figure, the likeness of male or female,

The likeness of any beast that is on the earth, the likeness of any winged fowl that flieth in the air,

The likeness of any thing that creepeth on the ground, the likeness of any fish that is in the waters beneath the earth:

And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them, and serve them, which YHWH Eloheicha hath divided unto all nations under the whole heaven.

When I was in Egypt I saw all the detestable items, which I see why the scripture put much emphasis command not to get involve in such pagan worship
